Unit 1
Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 Understand the different ways in which an organisation can be penalised under environmental law.
Unit 2
Fire risk assessment , fire hazards and risk reduction What is a risk assessment, who is responsible for risk assessments, how to carry out risk assessments, the hierarchy of control, and daily and weekly assessments.
Unit 3
Fire Prevention Measures Waste management, safety data sheets (SDSs), hazard labelling and packaging, duties of manufacturers and suppliers of machines, fire prevention measures, storage, layout and construction, equipment and machinery, duties of manufacturers, importers, and distributors of electrical equipment, smoking, building work and alterations, and training.
Unit 4
Fire Detection and Suppression Detection and warning systems, sprinklers, fire blankets, and fire extinguishers.
Unit 5
Evacuation, Fire Drills and procedures Evacuation strategies, escape routes, fire doors, fire signs, and emergency lighting. Who may need additional fire safety measures, examples of additional safety measures, personal emergency evacuation plans, the fire plan, and fire drills.

Once you complete the course, or completed a module, your tutor will facilitate practical exercises and an open discussion to test and consolidate your learning. This is the same arrangement If you are sitting the course virtually or at your place of work in a physical classroom environment.

A hard-copy certificate may be issued at the end of the course and can take between can take between 2-4 weeks to arrive. Alternatively a digital copy of the certificate may be issued, depending on your business requirements.
