NEBOSH Oil and Gas Certificate Explained
This qualification is for those working in the oil and gas (or related) industries, who need to gain a sound understanding of the principles of operational health and safety that apply in their specialist area.
It is used by many in the industry to improve the health and safety skills and knowledge of managers, supervisors and health and safety advisors, in order to gain sustainable health and safety improvements. IOG1
Management of International Oil and Gas Operational Safety
IOG1 covers five core elements including the context of health and safety in the oil and gas industry. It also features extensive training on the safe practice of hydrocarbon processing, fire protection and emergency response and and the logistics behind transport operations.
There is a 2-hour exam for IOG1 which consists of ten 'short-answer' questions and one 'long answer' question, each worth 8 marks. This is an invigilated written exam, taken at an exam centre.
At the end of each study unit there are exam type questions designed for learners to use as revision aids when preparing for the written exam.
